WE all like to take photographs but how many of us make the best of our cameras?

Yes we can handle the basics, but do you really understand all the fine detail? If you don’t then there’s a chance for you to ask the experts.

Holmfirth Camera Club is holding an exhibition plus drop in days at the North Light Gallery in Armitage Bridge. Here is where you can see powerful photographic images and pick the brains of some of the people who created them.

The exhibition will be open from April 17-19 from 10am to 4.30pm and on Friday April 24.

Examples of club members’ work will be accompanied by a separate exhibition of images by the Yorkshire Digital Imaging Group of the Royal Photographic Society.

Over the weekend of April 25-26, club members will be putting on demonstrations. Equipment including computers, scanners and printers will be available so that you can get to the bottom of any problems or have the technicalities explained.

You can also have a go at portrait photography.
