BRASS band fans should head for Armitage Bridge next week to hear young musicians play to help raise money for a local church.
The congregation of St Paul’s Church is working hard to raise money to help restore the church’s tower. Renovation work is expected to cost around £200,000 and the church’s supporters have already organised a series of events ranging from a fashion show to a ceilidh.
Next Friday they will play host to the young musicians of Sellers International Youth Band, who will play in a concert which begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £6 including refreshments.
More details are available on 01484 665341.
And for those who like to get dates in their diary early, Honley Ladies will be in concert at the church on December 6 as the next event in the fund-raising series.
