THE Brighouse-based Yorkshire Co-op Brass Band is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and the celebrations will be kicked-off with an anniversary concert in St Paul’s Church, Buttershaw, Bradford, on Saturday, April 19.

Former musical director John Roberts will conduct a concert that celebrates the last 10 years as well as dedicating music to two former members who tragically lost their lives so young, Joanne Almack and Adrian Davison.

The band has had a successful start to its anniversary year, being placed second at the prestigious Mineworkers Competition in Skegness and gaining a top six placing at the Yorkshire Regional Championships.

The band is opening out an invitation to everyone to attend its anniversary concert with tickets priced £4 and children under 16 attending free.
