IF LAUGHTER forms part of a good night out in your book then town centre venue Love 1:22 should tick that box tomorrow.

Laughter is back on the bill at the venue in Huddersfield’s New Street with the second in a series of monthly comedy bills.

Compere Tony Burgess will introduce Ivan Brackenbury, Gavin Webster and Tiffanny Stevenson.

Inept hospital radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury is the creation of Tom Binns, the drivetime host on Birmingham's BRMB radio station, as well as a comedian in his own right.

As himself, Binns had his own chat show on Five called Tom Binns Munchies and was one of the presenters on Channel 4 breakfast show RI:SE. He has also appeared on Knowing Me Knowing Yule With Alan Partridge, Friday Night Armistice and Fist Of Fun as a comic actor.

He created the character of Brackenbury relatively early in his career. The character appeared on Radio 1, Virgin and GLR before being rested as Binns developed his own radio career.

However, Brackenbury was resurrected for the Edinburgh Fringe this year, where he was nominated for the If.comedy Prize for the best show.

Gavin Webster’s style of comedy is described as loud, sharp and controversial. Geordie. Gavin has superb stage presence which, combined with provocative material, has brought him much praise and attention.

Webster has now established himself as one of the most exciting talents to emerge on the national comedy circuit in recent years.

After turning his back on a comedy double act he went solo in 1995 and hasn’t looked back.

Gavin performed in Does Doug Know with Daisy Donavon for Channel 4 as a regular team captain and currently performs at every major comedy venue throughout the UK .

Tony Burgess cut his comedy teeth during the Madchester days. He’s said to be one of the most copied comics in the business and has written for many of the big name comedians in the UK.

Tickets are £7.50 in advance or you can pay on the door. The show starts 8.30 prompt.
