FORMER Kirklees Young Musician of the Year, Rebecca Robertson, lines up next weekend with the Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra.

Their Rhapsodies and Dances performance will include Krek – Rhapsodic Dance, Debussy – L’apres-midi d’un Faune, Ajdic – Rhapsody for Trumpet and Orchestra and Bartok – Romanian Folk Dances.

Rebecca , pictured, will be the special guest, on trumpet. The conductor is Benjamin Ellin.

Rebecca, a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, was a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain for four years and is also a former member of Kirklees Youth Symphony Orchestra.

In 2007 she was awarded the Rotary Club of Holmfirth Millennium Prize and in 2009 she won the coveted prize and title of Kirklees Young Musician of the Year.

See them at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday, April 21, at 7.30pm.
