SHE’S a bright young dancing talent with bags of get up and go.

And this weekend, Suzanne Louise Calvert is using her dance skills – and her formidable gift for persuasion – to get her friends and her dance school pupils to use their talents to help others.

A Night of Remembrance is being held tomorrow night at St Philips Community Centre at Birchencliffe.

It is a not to be missed, all action, all singing and dancing night of high energy from a stream of young performers.

They are staging the show to raise money for two charities, the Andrew Spencer Memorial Trust, which celebrates the life of Andrew Spencer by helping other young people and the Joseph Salmon Trust in celebration of the life of Brianna Jones. Both Andrew and Brianna were dancers with Suzanne and both died suddenly at young ages.

This is the third year that Suzanne has staged this style of fund-raising show. This weekend, in addition to friends who she has worked with over the years from the Audrey Spencer Theatre School of Dance, the company is joined by some of Suzanne’s own pupils from HD1 Street.

The performers also include dancers from HD1 Dance whose principal is Liz Haigh and Diva Fevers a local group who are taught by Davina Allette.

The show kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow and is followed by an after show party until 11pm. Don’t miss this chance to see a fresh generation dancing their hearts out for the fun of it and to celebrate the lives of two young people who loved doing just the same.

Tickets are £8 adults, £5 for under 14’s and £20 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) which includes a free supper. Call Suzanne on 07804160013.
