DON’T LET the wig and the larking about fool you. When it comes to theatre, Graham Barraclough knows seriously more than most.
Graham, who lives in Mirfield, was drama officer for Kirklees Council for many years.
He was the man who brought theatre and dance companies to Venn Street Arts Centre and no-one was better at spotting the class acts.
Graham is a gifted actor and director. And this man of many talents has, in recent years, carved out a new career for himself writing shows including pantomimes.
When he’s not busy with all of that, Graham has another identity making children howl with laughter as children’s entertainer, G Wizz.
Now it’s the adults turn to laugh out loud as Graham shares memories of more than 30 years working in the entertainment business.
Graham will be at Scholes Cricket Club next Thursday, that’s July 14 to give a talk called, That’s Entertainment.
Expect a lively, humorous, and entertaining talk that recreates the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd, recalling memories from both sides of the footlights.
Rubbing shoulders with assorted celebrities has provided him with a wealth of anecdotes which prove that there really is no business like show business!
Graham is doing the show to raise money for the Joanne Bingley Memorial Foundation. Tickets: £2.50 from Dinah Wylde on 07801577996 or email@example.com)
