The last bank holiday weekend before Christmas is upon us — so you probably want to make the most of it!
August Bank Holiday weekend takes place Saturday August 29 to Monday August 31, giving most people a three-day weekend to enjoy.
There's lots going on across West Yorkshire this weekend, to give you and the kids one last hurrah to mark the end of the summer holidays before they go back to school.

Saturday August 29
Free Piazza Family Fun Days
Piazza Centre, Princess Alexandria Walk, Huddersfield, 10.30am-3.30pm, free
Free bouncy castles and slides, free face painting and candy floss and hundreds of pounds worth of discount vouchers to claim (while stocks last).
Dewsbury on Sea
Dewsbury Market Place, Dewsbury, 10.30am-4.30pm, free (charges for some activities)
Grab your bucket and spade and head to the beach in Dewsbury market place, with a fun fair, donkey rides, Punch and Judy, deck chairs and beach huts. Free event, charges may apply for some activities.
Open Day at Shepley Bridge Marina
Shepley Bridge, Steanard Lane, Mirfield, Saturday-Monday 10.30am-4pm, free
Take a free canal-boat cruise along the Calder and Hebble Navigation and experience a special view of Mirfield, plus watch the trains on the garden railway and enjoy refreshments in the Marina cafe. Donations welcome.
Land Rover Rally
National Coal Mining Museum, Overton, Wakefield, Saturday-Monday, free
Classic Land Rover weekend held over the Bank Holiday weekend with displays, stalls and family fun. Organised by the Leafers at 'tPit group, the event raises money for the National Coal Mining Museum.
Downton Abbey costumes at Cannon Hall
Bark House Lane, Cawthorne, Barnsley, 11am-4pm, free admission
Head to Canon Hall Museum for a special exhibition of exquisite designs from the award-winning television series Downton Abbey. Twenty-one historically-inspired outfits from the show are on display.
Sunday August 30
Golcar Fest
Golcar Conservative Club, Knowl Road, Golcar, 3pm-8m, free
Live bands, outdoor bar and barbecue, bouncy castle and face painting. Bands include The Alternative, Naughty Dog, Wingbeat and Strap On Jack!
Shelley Trolley Dash 2015
The Flying Ferret, Shelley, from noon, fundraising for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice
The annual Shelley Trolley Dash — 10 bars and eight and a half miles of fundraising fun for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. A fun day at the Flying Ferret begins at noon, the race begins at 1pm.
Wrestlebration 7
John Smith's Stadium, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, 2pm, Adults £10, under 14s £7, family ticket (two adult two children) £30
Stars of UK wrestling will compete at the annual Wrestlebration, now in its seventh year. With various title and stipulation matches on the cards, this is one of the most prestigious events on the UK wresting calendar.
Meet Fireman Sam at the Leisure Exchange

Every child's favourite fireman will spend the day meeting and greeting his young fans and posing for photos. A must-do for every Fireman Sam fanatic!
City Beach

Millenium Square has been transformed into a sandy beach for a fun family day out. Visitors can enjoy rides, stalls, trampolines, a beach slide, beach games and summer tunes from Heart's City Beach Radio. There's also seaside sweets, ice cream and a barbecue.

Huddersfield Bank Holiday Market and Bootless Sale
Huddersfield Open Market, Brook Street, Huddersfield, 9am-3pm, Car boot stall prices £10 each
Regular Monday market plus car bootless sale on available stalls. For a car bootless stall, arrive from 7.30am.
Craft Fair at National Coal Mining Museum
Caphouse Colliery, New Road, Overton, Wakefield, 10am-4pm, free
Bank Holiday craft fair with more than 40 stalls selling gifts, homemade crafts and jewellery.
Last chance for Charity Jigsaw Festival
St Martin's Parish Church, Church Lane, Brighouse, 10am-5pm, entry £2 for adults, accompanied children free
A masterclass in puzzle-solving with 1,200 puzzles made up for display and sale. Up to 200 are on display at any one time — as one as sold another will replace it. There's also a Golden Jigsaw Competition, tombola, raffle and craft stalls, plus all day breakfasts, lunch and afternoon tea.
Beside the Seaside special at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway's station at Ingrow West has been transformed into the seaside, with a beach, games, seaside activities and more.
Leeds West Indian Carnival
Potternewton Park, Harehills Avenue, Leeds, parade leaves at 2pm, free
And explosion of music, colours and carnival fun! The Big Leeds Carnival Parade will leave Potternewton Park in Harehills, Leeds, before returning at around 5pm for judges. In the park there will be music and global cuisine as well as arts, crafts and a fun fair.
