Easter weekend is just round the corner, with special events planned across Huddersfield.

All aboard the Easter Eggspress for the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and take part in fun Easter activities. With an Easter egg hunt, egg and spoon races, platform rides, face painting, donkey rides and arts and crafts, there's lots to keep your little ones amused. The trains run every 40 minutes 10am-4pm.

Tickets cost £9 for adults, £7 for children under 16 and children under two go free. Family tickets are also available — click here to book. Booking in advance is recommended.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Queensgate Market,

Princess Alexandra Walk, Huddersfield

The market is hosting a drop-in workshop 10am-2pm, with a giant Easter egg hunt around the market. There's also free balloons and facepainting.

Alternative Market - The Easter One

Market Street, Huddersfield

Young stallholders at the Alternative Christmas Market

Following the success of the Alternative Christmas Market, organisers are returning with an Easter event, featuring more than 50 stalls selling cakes, hampers, home accessories, vintage clothing, photography, art and more from 11am. There will also be performances throughout the day and an Easter egg hunt with prizes.

Youngsters can enjoy a treasure hunt across Beaumont Park on Easter Sunday, organised by the Friends of Beaumont Park. Easter fun begins at 1pm and refreshments will be available.
