The countdown to Christmas is on.

It’s still only mid-October but the Christmas lights are going up in Huddersfield town centre.

Work crews are putting up the festive displays across town in preparation for Huddersfield’s popular switch-on night.

The Christmas season will be launched on Saturday, November 14 by children’s favourites Officer Ditty and Professor Poet, alias Joe and Andy, from CBeebies’ The Rhyme Rocket.
