All of the fun of the fair is heading to Huddersfield as the Mega Value Fun Park returns.

The annual funfair opens today (August 17) in Cambridge Road car park with thrilling rides plus a Frozen-themed show at the weekend.

The fair will run for five days, with a children's beach and unlimited free rides covered with a £5 entry fee.

It promises family attractions and white knuckle rides as well as children's rides.

Where is it?

The fair, called The Huddersfield Mega Value Park, will be open from today at Cambridge Road Car Park.

How long is it there for?

The fair's last day is Sunday, August 21.

When is it open?

There are three sessions daily from 1pm-4pm, 3pm-6pm and 6pm-9pm and on Sunday there are two from 1pm-4pm and 3-6pm.

What rides are there?

The Superstar giant swinging ride that gives various experiences of weightlessness whilst riders are also able to take a view from the air for several metres upside down.

Imported from Spain is the Tagada, described as “pure jumping madness” as well as all the favourites such as the Waltzers, the Beach Party, the Matterhorn, Sizzler, Drop Zone, Rage Cage and the dodgems.

There are also attractions for younger children, with a wide variety of smaller rides and Inflatables.

What else is there?

On Saturday and Sunday, 3pm-4pm, Elsa and Anna fans will be thrilled with the Frozen show.

There are seating areas, on site toilet facilities and even a beach to keep the kids entertained.

A wide variety of food isavailable, as well as an arcade, various games, hoopla stalls and side stalls. There is a Fun House, Bungee Trampolines and Water Walkerz that are pay-as-you-go.

How much does it cost?

Unlimited Riding wristbands cost £5 and once inside people can stay and carry on riding for free for up to three hours on all the large rides and children’s rides.
