It's been just over two years since the hugely successful Guardians of the Galaxy film was in cinemas.

And now the Marvel gang of space explorers is making a return to the big screen with a follow-up movie.

Aptly named Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 there's plenty of adventure and interstellar action in store.

In the beginning of the trailer Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot are seen squabbling over an automatic bomb.

"Whatever you do, don't push this button.

"Because that will set off the bomb immediately and we'll all be dead," says Rocket, voiced once again by Bradley Cooper.

But the adorable Baby Groot can't resist and hovers his finger over the button.

Zoe Saldana's Gamora, Chris Pratt's Star Lord and Dave Bautisa's Drax all return.

There are also new characters including Mantis, the green hero that can read people's minds - French actress Pom Klementieff will play the role.

Marvel is keeping tight-lipped on the film's release date but it's rumoured it is set for a May 2017.
