Game of Thrones fans still mourning Jon Snow could find the new Game of Thrones teaser trailer hard to stomach.

The 41-second short shows the fallen leader of the Night's Watch very much alive, before flashing forwards to his brutal death.

The trailer, released four months before Game of Thrones season six is due to reach our television screens, also flashes through other significant deaths, characters and events at lightning speed.

The fall of the Starks, Jaime's time as a hostage, Daenerys' dragons and the rise of the White Walks blurs on screen before shots of Jon Snow's murder by his own men, and Bran's warg abilities.

The screen fades to black before an ominous whisper (which sounds a lot like Ramsay Bolton) says: "They have no idea what's going to happen."
