Huddersfield actress Zoe Lucker is about to leave Hollyoaks.

The Lindley star has tweeted news about the soap and hints that a Christmas storyline will see her character walk out of the soap.

He tweet read: “Zoe Lucker ‏@ZoeLuckerUK Dec 20

Goodbye, Reenie... But don’t worry fans.. Reenie will be back! #Hollyoaks”

The actress joined Hollyoaks in April this year, three years after leaving EastEnders.

Zoe became the latest member of the soap’s notorious McQueen clan.

The 40-year-old actress, famous for her glamorous roles on EastEnders and Footballers’ Wives, was given a drastic make-under to play the show’s latest bad girl Reenie McQueen.

Reenie, who is the mother of already established characters Porsche, Celine and Cleo and daughter of Nana McQueen, was in prison when she was introduced to viewers.

Now both Zoe’s character and that of her daughter Porsche are set to leave the soap

An eventful festive season for the McQueen family began when Reenie and Porsche (Twinnie-Lee Moore) both receive letters inviting them to attend evil Derek Clough’s will reading.

Derek is the villainous ex of Nana McQueen, who raped Reenie when she was a young girl. Reenie is terrified when she receives news of his will, fearing that Porsche will find out that Derek was her father.

The two women end up fighting in a local store and the police are called in and Reenie accidentally assaults the police officer who’s trying to stop her fight with Porsche

Hollyoaks producer Bryan Kirkwood said: “Zoe is leaving us shortly, but she will be back for Pete’s trial, which we’re very pleased about.

“It’s been such a treat to have her here. I think Zoe’s been extraordinary as Reenie.

“She comes with such a brilliant résumé of all these iconic parts, and I think she’s made Reenie an instant classic character - really vulnerable and damaged, but really strong.

“I’m delighted with how the child abuse story has turned out. I think every single actor involved with it has been at the top of their game.”
