It's finally here, the first bank holiday weekend of the year — and there's plenty going on.

Emley Brass Band Real Ale Festival

The Emley Brass Band Real Ale Festival takes place at the Emley Band Room in Beaumont Street this weekend, kicking off on Good Friday. The three-day real ale festival will offer more than ten ales to sample, ciders, as well as wine and food and it's only £2.50 a pint. The festival will be open Friday-Sunday 1pm-11.30pm, and entry is free.

Easter weekender at Revolution

Revolution Huddersfield is starting the Easter party on Thursday evening, with a 5pm-7pm happy hour, live music and free chocolate egg flavour vodka samplers! On Friday happy hour is 12-7pm and you could bag free fish and chips, and there's more free food and drink sampling on Saturday. Then on Sunday, the bar will host an all-day rooftop terrace party, with live music, cocktail samples, DJs and more. Entry to the rooftop party costs £5.

On Easter Saturday, the Laughing Gas Comedy Club in Holmfirth is hosting a Hands Off HRI fundraiser featuring 12 comedians at Brambles Bar and Cafe. Tickets cost £10, doors open at 7pm and the first act is on at 8pm.

Then on Easter Sunday, a Hands Off HRI fundraiser will be held at The Picturedrome in Holmfirth. The Nu Popes will headline a night of live music with funky classic covers, supported by The Sellouts, performing classic soul from Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Dusty Springfield and more. The Dana Ali Band and 4Gotten Funk are also on the bill.

Tickets cost £10 and can be bought from the Picturedrome website. Doors open 6pm.

Easter Feastival Foodie Market at Yummy Yorkshire

The Yummy Yorkshire barn at Delph House Farm will welcome the Made and Found Market on Easter Saturday-Easter Monday, 9am-5pm. There will be food and craft stalls ,with handmade chocolates, fine cheese, artisan breads, local preserves and more on offer, as well as live music and a bar.

Gift fair at the Butchers Arms, Hepworth

Pop along to the Butchers Arms on Easter Saturday and help raise money for Kirkwood Hospice. There will be an egg hunt, prize for the best Easter bonnet, gift stalls, face painting and more, 1pm-5pm.
