BRIGHOUSE-based singer and songwriter Roger Davies is fast becoming a name on the contemporary acoustic folk scene.

Tonight he’s back in Huddersfield topping the billing at the Lawrence Batley Theatre. With him will be another up coming talent, singer-songwriter Rosie Doonan who is from Wakefield.

Roger’s skills as songwriter, singer and guitarist are showcased on a new album called The Busker.

It features 11 new songs, including a stunning rendition of Brighouse on Saturday Night with the renowned Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band.

Roger has recently enjoyed a succession of sold out concerts and performances. Recent concerts with Harvey Andrews, John Tams and Barry Coope, Bernard Wrigley, Vin Garbutt and Simon Armitage have helped to extend his audience.

Tonight’s show is at 8.00pm. Tickets are £10 (concessions £8) from the LBT box office on 01484 430528.
