There's plenty to keep the kids entertained at this year's Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival.

The street festival, running Thursday August 7 to Sunday August 10, will host fun activities and craft sessions for younger visitors in its Kids Zone.

In addition, there will be face painting and live street entertainment - making the festival a fun-filled day out for all the family.

This years Kid's Zone will feature:

The Ministry of Chocolate - The Ministry hosts interactive chocolate workshops that teach youngsters a thing or two about sweet treats.

Cafe Umbria - Italian food with a Yorkshire twist, Cafe Umbria brings tasty Italian recipes made with both Umbrian and Yorkshire ingredients. They also host pasta and pizza making parties for children to get them involved in tasty food from a young age.

Joker Entertainment - Its Crazy Critter Workshops get children modelling with vegetables and match sticks to create their own animal critters, using everything from carrots to sprouts to parsnips. Other craft activities, including masking making and hat decorating, will keep the whole family amused.

Fairandfunky - Workshops get kids' creative juices flowing with art projects that use recycled materials to create mobiles, wall hangings and more.

Making Sense - Make mini-books from coloured paper, card and fabric, ideal for jotting down recipes and stories, or transform kitchen utensils into creatures with Making Sense's fun workshops. Youngsters can make their own Kitchen Creature Puppet to take with them for the rest of the festival. Visitors are also invited to share their favourite foods and recipes in the Food for Thought project.

High Jinx - Magic, illusion, escapology and circus skills combine in this variety act, sure to impress and amaze the whole family. The performers also teach children balloon modelling skills so they can take a bit of the magic home with them.
