IT BARELY seems a moment since we were welcoming him back, but now Gordon Stewart is bowing out once again – though only out of the current season.

Gordon’s return to his post as Kirklees Borough Organist earlier this year was warmly applauded and for many, the remaining concerts in the lunchtime season have speeded by all too swiftly.

Gordon will play the final lunchtime recital of the present season at Huddersfield Town Hall on Monday May 12 at 1pm.

His programme will include Concert Overture in C (Hollins), Fugue alla Gigue (Bach),

Sonata 'The 94th Psalm' (Reubke), Aria (Manz), Caprice (Johnson) and Dieu parmi nous by Messiaen.

Tickets are £3 (£2 concessions) in advance from Kirklees Booking Offices, tel 01484 223200, or from the Town Hall box office on the day of the concert. You can lunch in the Old Court Room from noon.

There will be a new organ concert season in the autumn.
