A Huddersfield magician who delighted a member of the Royal family with his illusions is coming home.

Michael Jordan is bringing his High Jinx magic and Illusion show to the Lawrence Batley Theatre during the February half term holiday.

And he is doing so with his new wife Tamsyn, who he married in November after working with her on stage for years.

In December the couple had their first Royal command performance at St James’ Palace. They were among the entertainers invited to the Princess Royal’s Christmas party for the Not Forgotten Society.

They also appeared as Buttons and Cinderella in the opening ceremony and the finale of the London International Horse Show at the Olympia and were presented to the Duchess of Cornwall.

The couple have produced and directed their own show in Blackpool for the last three years and will be touring theatres across the UK as well as working in Dubai and China.

A former Magic Circle Young Magician of the Year Michael, of Scapegoat Hill, launched High Jinx in 2004 but hit the headlines when he appeared on ITV’s Penn and Teller Fool Us and went on to tour theatres and parks around the UK, Europe and America before settling down with the three-year stint with his own show in Blackpool.

He will be returning from appearing at the International Magic Festival in France to take the stage at the LBT in Huddersfield.

Michael said: “The show is a fast-paced mix of magic, illusion and circus delivered in a contemporary way to appeal to all ages.

“We have brought in the High Jinx Dancers and some special guests to ensure there is something for everyone.

“Our show is often a child’s first experience of theatre so we like to make it both a magical and memorable one.

“It’s our second appearance at the Lawrence Batley Theatre and it’s nice to come back with our new show”.

The show is on Saturday, February 14, at 2.30pm.

Tickets start from £8 for the two hour show and further details are available from the The Lawrence Batley Theatre www.thelbt.org or Box Office on 01484 430528.
