HER eagerly awaited third album was released just weeks ago and now Kit Holmes is back touring.

Kit, renowned for her stunning acoustic guitar skills and her sultry vocals returns to the Square Chapel on March 12.

Originally from Wakefield, but based now in Shelley, Kit will be accompanied by Alan Greenwood on guitar and Hayden Minnett on bass.

Her new album, Driving Into The Blue, was recorded in Yorkshire at Chairworks Studios and mastered at Abbey Road.

It features double bass player Danny Thompson who played on her last album, Catch The Echo.

Kit is a regular visitor to venues in the area, including the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

She has always claimed acoustic guitar music as her passion. Kit says she turned briefly to electric as a teenager, but after some time in a ‘rocky girl band’ the acoustic music lured her back.

It is a style that has won over critics and audiences alike as she continues to tour extensively.

Her Halifax concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets from the box office on 01422 349422 or on the website: www.squarechapel.co.uk
