THERE will be a feeling of spring in the air at a lunchtime concert at Huddersfield Town Hall later this month.

For his recital on Monday April 26, Dr Gordon Stewart has chosen music by Handel, Roger-Ducasse and Hollins, all of which give a nod to the freshness of spring.

He will play G F Handel’s Organ Concerto, The Cuckoo and the Nightingale, J J A Roger-Ducasse’s Pastorale and In Springtime by A Hollins.

Gordon, who is Kirklees Borough Organist, will also play Theodore Salome’s Allegro Symphonique, Vivaldi’s Concerto in A Minor (first movement) and Percy Whitlock’s Plymouth Suite.

The concert is at 1pm and tickets are £4 (£3 concessions) in advance from Kirklees Booking Offices, tel 01484 223200, or from the Town Hall box office on the day of the concert.
