JOIN Hepworth band and its new musical director Stig Maersk for carols, mulled wine and mince pies next weekend.
The band will play a programme of seasonal favourites and carols at Christ Church, New Mill on Sunday, December 16 at 7pm.
Stig Mærsk, who is from Copenhagen in Denmark, has only joined the band in recent weeks and this is one of his first concerts with them as MD.
He made his debut as musical director with the band in Wakefield in November.
Stig was until recently resident conductor with the Concord brass band. Before that, Stig had worked with Svogerslev Blæsernes band and Aarhus band.
He studied trumpet at the Royal Academy in Jutland before working as a professional freelance trumpet player with The Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Slesvig Military band, and the Royal Guards in Copenhagen.
Tickets for the New Mill concert are £7 with children under 16 going free.
