IT IS time to get out the flags and warm up those vocal chords.
Meltham and Meltham Mills Band presents its annual Last Night Of The Proms concert tomorrow (Oct 15).
The concert is in the parish church at 7.30pm with tickets at £6 from Scotty’s barbers or you can pay at the door.
The band, under musical director Robin Morgan, has prepared a varied and entertaining programme with music to suit most tastes.
This year, the band has invited soloist Julie Morley to join them.
Julia performs regularly throughout the north of England and has become an established soloist in major works such as Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem.
The concert finale will see Julia joining the band in the traditional finale of Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.
So there it is, the cue for flags!
