They may live in a town dominated by male-fronted groups but Liz and Jade are one of the leaders who are putting Huddersfield firmly on the music map.

And even though accompanied on stage with just one guitar between them, they have no problem in stealing the attention of every last bar fly around.

It is their booming, soulful voices, more powerful than most six-piece metal bands, that stun whole rooms into silence. An impressive feat – considering that both are not much more than five feet tall.

Determined not to take themselves too seriously, they jokingly describe themselves as ethereal characters who ‘exist primarily in your mind and sometimes in tea-leaves’.

It is the acoustic project of Love Limpets members, Liz MacKenzie and Jade Harris. They have been spotted countless times on stages in pubs and clubs all over the area since they started out together just several months ago.

And despite their relatively short life so far, they have already found themselves sharing the stage with cult Canadian band, The Burning Hell.
