You are most likely to see anti-austerity campaigners out on the streets.
But one new Huddersfield outfit has taken to the airwaves instead to join the fight for a better future for all.
A mystery group called Cabinet of Millionaires, their eponymous single is a wry attack on the Government’s regressive cuts and one of the finest new examples of protest power electro rock.
A dark groove opens the track before the ominous, robotic vocals, seemingly coming from a smiling cardboard cut out of David Cameron’s voice takeover alongside a powerful drum beat.
Yet it quickly becomes apparent that these are not the words of our dear leader but enlivened detractors keen to mock his empty, puppet-like facade.
“I won’t sit by and watch this unfolding.
“Bull **** lies, revolting, revolting”, ring out the voices, while Cameron’s expression seems to turn more to a guffaw and a grimace.
Smoke fills the background of the screen while images of the key cornerstones of British society given a seeing to first by the Conservative-led coalition flash past.
All the while strings, brass, bass organ and guitar keep pounding like a march of protesters, below the rallying cries of “I’ve heard enough, I’ve heard enough.”
Farcical, impassioned and addictive to listen to, hopefully this will become a much-played ear worm that will wiggle its way into the minds of many, moving them onto the streets.
