WATCH: Singing plumber Paul Ballington's 'Get On Yer Bike' celebrates Tour de Yorkshire

Be warned, you won't be able to stop singing it once you've heard it!

Singer/songwriter Paul Ballington has penned a catchy song to celebrate the first ever Tour de Yorkshire.

The self-styled 'singing plumber' has also made a video for his catchy tune 'Get On Yer Bike', which will help raise money for the Tour's chosen charity, The Children's Hospital in Sheffield.

The 37-year-old will also perform the song in York tonight as part of the pre-Tour festivities taking place before the race begins in Bridlington on Friday.

The video sees Paul, of Dinnington, Sheffield, jump on a kid's bike and set off across South Yorkshire.

He said he was inspired to write a song for the Tour de Yorkshire after writing a similar song for the Tour de France last year.

He said: "I originally wrote a song for the Tour de France, we did a video last year and it went so well that we thought it made sense to write one for the Tour de Yorkshire.

"We've released it as a single and we're donating half the proceeds to the charity."

Paul hopes to watch the cyclists as they race through Barnsley as part of Stage Three of the tour.

"During the Tour de France last year there was such a good atmosphere, it gave me the bug a little bit.

"I'm not a keen cyclist but I'm looking forward to seeing some of the race.

"It's a fun event and I thought it needed a fun song!"
