A summer festival will bring Bon Jovi, the Beatles, Bruno Mars and Queen to Greenhead Park this summer — almost.

The Wannasee Festival brings together some of the best tribute acts to global music stars, and it's coming to Huddersfield on July 16.

Organisers have released a video of some of the acts on the bill so audiences can get a taste of what's to come.

Fake Michael Jackson, Queen Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, and the Beatles musicians are set to perform at the one-day event, which organisers hope will leave music lovers feeling like they’ve seen something as good as the real thing.

Covers band Scandal will complete the line up with their set of indie, mod, rock and soul hits from bands like The Smiths, The Kinks, Oasis and The Who.

The festival will also have a fairground, food stalls and bars, and families are also welcome to bring a picnic and deck chairs to enjoy the day's entertainment.

John Branan, one of the festival organisers, said tickets had been selling well.

"If this festival goes well it could return every year to Huddersfield," he said. "We want to offer a festival every year that's affordable.

"The tribute acts are world-class musicians. When you see Michael Jackson in the video, you realise how good he is. These guys have performed in the West End, and toured worldwide. "

John added that depending on the success of this year's event, organisers could also host festivals for local bands and unsigned acts in Huddersfield in the future.
