UP and coming indie crew Dirty Green Vinyl have had a busy year.

The Huddersfield teenagers, who narrowly missed out on a slot at the Leeds Festival, have been gigging their hearts out both at home and abroad.

They’ve also found the time in between their studies and travels to record another EP, which will be released early in the new year.

Drummer, Thomas Bradshaw, said: “We’ve been doing a lot of gigging over September and October, so for us it was nice to take some time and sit down and write some songs properly.

“We worked with a recorder called Whiskas over in Leeds who’s recorded with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and his words really helped us shape the songs into what we feel best pleased with.

“We recorded ‘Holly’ and ‘Scheming Companions’ with him and we then played endless gigs just trying to promote the two tracks as best we could, which involved gigs in Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, Halifax, Congleton and Manchester.

“Also we played a few acoustic gigs in France in summer which were pretty good and went well.

“We got some great feedback from these gigs but we’ve missed playing Huddersfield and have only played here three times in the last five months.

“Next year we are aiming to just keep moving around the country and take some possible festival slots. “We’re really enjoying just gigging around but we may well have to take a break as Tom (bass) may be leaving for university this summer so the next nine months could be our last chance.

“We’ll be releasing the new tracks B.A.B.Y and Lipstick Warrior in January and hopefully word will spread.”
