COMEDY fans are due for their monthly dose of laughs at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.
The Comedy Cellar returns to the LBT on May 7 with a trio of funnymen.
All the way from Australia comes Ray Crawford, a well-known headline act across the world from Los Angeles to Singapore.
His ribald routines on life ‘down under’ are full of funny observational musings and his lightning quick wit means he can ad lib at a frightening rate.
The raconteur is currently taking the UK by storm, as well as being star of his own radio comedy show back in Oz.
Dave Longley starred in an acclaimed solo show at 2008’s Edinburgh Festival, charming audiences with his meandering mind, full of humorous tangents.
He is a confirmed cynic with an unromantic attitude to love, an irreverence to religion and a unique take on everyday life.
Compering the show will be Anthony J Brown, who has been described as a ‘truly unique performer’ by the League of Gentlemen’s Reece Shearsmith.
A former Jongleurs Stand and Deliver award-winner 2003, he has appeared in Phoenix Nights and on The Stand Up Show.
Tickets cost £9 or £7 for concessions.
NUS cardholders pay just £5.
Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
