HUDDERSFIELD thrashers Evile have revealed a massive homecoming gig to celebrate their new album.

The band are set to play the third gig of their upcoming 20 date UK tour at the Holmfirth Picturedrome.

The October 2 gig will come just a week after fans get hold of their new album Five Serpent’s Teeth, due for release on September 26.

Ol said the performance would be their first local gig in at least five years.

He said: “We wanted to have some sort of home event and we’ve wanted to play the Picturedrome for ages so we thought what better time than now when the new album is out.

“We’ve concentrated so much on getting really far afield to America and so on, so we wanted to have one in the Holme Valley – it will be very special to us.”

Ol said the Holmfirth show would also allow friends and family that hadn’t been able to follow their rise up the rock ‘n’ roll ranks to finally see them at their prime, playing their highly acclaimed new release.

He added: “We’re so proud of the new album and we’re getting lots of amazing reviews and praise for it – it’s brilliant.”
