BEING A Tiger and Suilven have stepped forward to support London rockers The Manic Shine at The Parish tonight.

The Huddersfield bands have been brought in after the gig was shifted from Barnsley to the Kirkgate venue at short notice. Touted as progressive, musical geniuses, The Manic Shine have been described as possessing a vast sound and an “inebriating wall of metamorphic art rock”. Meanwhile headliners Suilven have been dubbed, “the long lost cousin of Jeff Buckley if he'd spent a troubled youth listening to Soundgarden and Pearl Jam”. Fellow town band, Being A Tiger, have also been hailed by The Parish’s own Mikey Baird as Huddersfield’s own Seattle grunge scene merchants. Doors 8pm. Entry £3.
