IF you want to catch some of the north’s best unsigned talent, get down to the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Saturday.

The Queen Street venue will play host to Noisebox ‘The Big Gig’ 2008.

The festival and Noisebox Promotions was set up by local musician Alex Krzesinski in 2006 to promote unsigned talent.

The event is being sponsored by Huddersfield’s HD1 Studios.

Alex said: “They couldn’t wait to get involved after hearing about the fantastic line up.”

This line up includes Yorkshire four piece The Black Bloc, who will headline the event.

Huddersfield group Your New Antique return to the LBT after their performance at last year’s festival and Holmfirth’s Northern Beats (above) will also be there.

Wakefield indie kids New Vinyl will be on the bill and, completing the line up are Russian Dolls, with their retro blues rock.

The gig will run from 7pm and tickets cost £5 from the box office on 01484 430528.
