It is one of the most popular concerts in Slaithwaite Band’s diary so get the diaries out now.
The band will be in a relaxed mood with a Last Night of the Proms style concert at St James’ Church in Slaithwaite on September 13.
This is a Friday night concert which starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 payable at the door.
The band promises a varied programme of music which will conclude in the traditional flag waving finale with many of the favourite Proms’ pieces.
This year the concert will be compered by David Hoyle who presents Yorkshire Brass on Radio Leeds each Sunday.
And who better since David is not only a respected figure in brass circles, he’s also got close links with Slaithwaite as he is a former member of its Junior Band.
