ONE time chart sensation Billy Ocean will rekindle memories of the 1980s when he arrives in the Holme Valley next week.

The Trinidad-born singer has sold more than 30 million records and is most famous for his 1986 global hit When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going. The No 1 song was the theme tune to the Michael Douglas movie Jewel of the Nile and remained in the UK charts for six months.

Other hits included Get Outta My Dreams Get Into My Car, which hit the top spot in the USA, and Caribbean Queen.

Having received a lifetime achievement award at the 15th Mobo Awards in 2008, Billy is now back on the road with fresh material.

He will play the Holmfirth Picturedrome on Thursday, July 19.
