If you haven’t already got your tickets for tomorrow’s concert by young people’s choir, ReJoySing, do it now.

This talented group of singers will be at Moldgreen  United Reformed Church headlining their own concert for the first time.

The group,  run by members of the charity Caritas which was set up some years ago by a group of well-known local musicians and singers, has appeared in a number of local concerts.

But this is the first time they have topped the billing in a concert  which they have called ReJoySing and Friends.

Those friends include K T Dancers from Lindley and 18-year-old musician, actor and singer Chris Fox plus  members of the Really Useless Group.

The choir has now added   two outstanding local sopranos to its guest list.

They are Ann Wilkes who is a member of Huddersfield Choral Society  and Beth Dale, well-known for her starring roles in many local musicals.

Ann has been singing since she was young and has won several classes at the Mrs Sunderland Festival over the years.

Beth has worked with Caritas in previous fund-raising shows but is best known for playing some of the leading  roles in musicals.

Caritas is also delighted that Tom Mair has agreed to compere the show. Tom is steeped in local musical theatre having been a leading performer in many shows as well as being a guiding hand off stage particularly for Longwood Amateur Operatic Society.

He’s always championed young singers and so is the perfect man to introduce ReJoySing on its big night.

There are still tickets available on the door or you can call Karen on 07887873984.

 The concert starts at 7.30pm.
