SINBAD the Sailor weighs anchor in Honley tonight for a week of fun and laughter at Southgate Theatre.

Honley Players are staging Ron Hall’s version of this sea-faring tale presenting Sinbad The Sailor in performances which continue tomorrow (2.30 & 7.15) then from Tuesday February 9 until February 13. Both Saturday matinees are full houses.

The success of the Honley pantomime owes much to the experience of its cast which includes Susan Armitage as the Widow O'Mally and Jake Denton playing her silly son Ali who falls in love with the princess’s hand maiden Fatima played by David Barnes.

Louise Leggett takes the title role of Sinbad and the show features students from the Huddersfield School of Theatre Dance.

Dennis Thewlis directs and though it has been a tough call for the cast, ploughing through icy conditions to get to rehearsals, the show will go on.
