THE musicians of Skelmanthorpe B Band will be pretty much on home territory tomorrow with a concert in the neighbouring village of Shelley.

It’s a perfect concert for the run-up to Christmas with music on the programme that promises to be as festive as turkey and tinsel.

The 35 musicians from this section four contesting band, will be hoping to raise the roof in a concert hosted by Shelley Community Association.

The band, which came third overall when it represented Yorkshire in national band contest in September, is conducted by Phil Garlick, lead teacher for brass at Kirklees Music school.

Tickets are £5 from local shops and the music begins at 7.30pm.
