CHILDREN in Huddersfield schools are being educated and entertained by a new version of the Hickory Dock rhyme.

Slaithwaite-based Satellite Arts is touring its time-based seasonal show throughout December.

Students in Huddersfield schools are meeting Hickory the giant mouse, Eric the talking reindeer, and helping Mr Yonderly, an inventor, build a clock from lunar cheese.

In the new performance they find out what happens to the mouse who runs up the clock when the clock strikes 1pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm and midnight!
