Danny Abrahams is a man of many talents.

He found success as a musician and then moved on to concentrate on art.

And this self-taught artist has been described by Huddersfield gallery owner  Mike Baggs  as one of the most exciting artists to come on the market for years.

See Danny’s work at the AC Gallery in Byram Street, Huddersfield where his solo display is now open.

Danny, who was born in Bradford in 1977, is  a self-taught landscape artist.

His interest in sketching and painting started early. But then in his teens, Danny’s  love for music took over.

He became an accomplished musician, writing songs and playing guitar for the rock band The Hoover Dams.

Danny’s work with the band saw him playing gigs at venues all over the UK , appearing on TV and doing live performances on the radio.

On reaching his thirties, art became more important to Danny and though he still enjoys writing songs and performing , art has become the focal point of his life.

Danny has been influenced by the  beauty of the northern landscape and been inspired by his many travels during his career.

He finds beauty in everyday images and the sky is a powerful subject in his  work.

“It never ceases to amaze me, the overall beauty, emptiness, rawness and power of an everyday natural wonder that most of us take for granted,” he said.

Danny prefers working with oil on canvas. It favours his natural ability to capture the many moods of the landscape and the magical skyscapes that have become his focal point.

Gallery owner Mike Baggs said: “Danny’s work has really struck a chord with people.

“We are delighted he has chosen us to work with and can't wait to unveil this fantastic exhibition of his work".
