Laugh all the way up to Christmas with comedy at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Its next series of Comedy Cellar gigs starts on September 12 with Bobby Mair and Philip Simon opening the autumn season in the Syngenta Cellar space.

Bobby Mair is an exciting new comedian, currently to be seen on Channel 4’s 8 out of 10 Cats.

Bobby was born in Canada and is based in London. He tours internationally and was featured at this year’s Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Philip Simon is a writer, actor and comedian.

As well as working as a freelance comedy writer, including writing sketches for BBC Radio 4 Xtra’s topical comedy show Newsjack, Philip is a published features writer, regularly writing for The Stage.

He is also a polished performer with a flair for observational humour.

Philip graduated from the Stand Up Comedy course at The Comedy School two years ago.

Since then he has performed comedy throughout the UK and New York. He has also recently been working on BBC’s Mock the Week.
