CELEBRATE the New Year in style with the Orchestra of Square Chapel

In what is now a firm favourite in the venue’s calendar, its orchestra will present a traditional New Year Family Concert.

The concert is on January 6 at 3pm and the audience is invited to celebrate the New Year in traditional style with waltzes, polkas and marches from the Strauss family and contemporaries.

The Square Chapel’s resident orchestra comprises professional, semi-professional and gifted amateur players under the direction of composer and conductor Lawrence Killian.

The Orchestra has several world premiere performances to its credit and was played on Radio 3 as part of the Listen Up Festival of British and Contemporary Composers.

After this New Year family concert, the orchestra returns to Square Chapel on March 17 with a concert inspired by the forces of nature.

Transporting their audience from autumn through spring to an idyllic British summer with a programme that features Greig, Vivaldi, Vaughan Williams and Beethoven.
