Huddersfield-based Impossible Arts will be presenting a spectacular outdoor free event in Holmfirth on Monday night (23 May) as part of the Holmfirth Film Festival.
From 9pm onwards three giant translucent heads will appear in the river bed outside the Picturedrome.
Looking like giant Easter Island Heads, each face will move, blink and come alive – magically animated by projectors.
Director of Impossible Theatre Chris Squire said: “It’s always nice to do something in our home town, so we are excited at the prospect of presenting this unique participatory video installation which has wowed audiences at festivals around the country in the river bed in the middle of Holmfirth.
“The giant glowing heads will look great in the darkness and when they start to flicker into life it will certainly catch the attention of everyone.”
Chris added: “The real moment comes when they see their mouths animate and to lip-synch with famous moments from a range of classic films with sound bites ranging from Hannibal Lecter to Frozen, James Bond to Monty Python, Dirty Harry to the Sound of Music.
“It’s going to be a quirky and fun thing to do for anyone who wants to take part, or an amazing event to watch unfold if you just want to come and watch.”
