Visitors flocked to Honley Show yesterday for a day of family fun.

The Farnley Tyas showground welcomed stunt bikers and brass bands — but one of the biggest draws was the adorable animals.

Dogs, cows, pigs, goats, horses, chickens and even guinea pigs had their moment in the spotlight in this year's competition.

The 94th show offered a wealth of entertainment for all the family — but the livestock and animal classes are a firm Honley Show tradition.

Show president Charles Kaye said: "At heart it is still an agricultural show and there is something good about seeing young children get so close to cows and pigs."

We've pulled together the best animal snaps taken by our photographer at yesterday's show — get ready to go 'awwww' as you scroll down!
