We've reached the mid-point of the working week - if you squint, you can almost see the weekend.

  1. Watch out for aliens around Kirklees - The aliens are coming! At least, if you head to some of Kirklees' libraries they are! The Aliens Are Coming is a fun craft and story-telling session for youngsters at Birstall Library, Kirkburton Library and Dalton Library today at 2pm. Head down for some out-of-this-world fun - there's even a special noisy storytime for 0-5 year olds.

  2. Enjoy the magic of Mozart at the LBT - Mozart's final masterpiece, The Magic Flute, will bring fantasy, comedy and a love story to the Lawrence Batley Theatre this evening. Featuring expressive arias, wonderful ensembles and even the highest notes in all opera, The Magic Flute will be brought to life by the Young Opera Venture, and performed in English.   3. Reminisce with 10CC in Bradford - They sold 30 million albums worldwide and banked 11 top ten hits - now 1970s rockers 10CC are coming to St George's Hall, Bradford, for one night only.
