There's plenty of entertainment on offer in West Yorkshire today, with exciting events in town halls and theatres.

  • Enjoy a capalla entertainment at Dewsbury Town Hall - The Dewsbury lunchtime concert season kicks off today with a visit from London-based a capella singing group Apollo5, keeping the tradition of beginning the season with a capella vocals. The show begins at 12.30pm (lunch is served in the main hall from 11.30am). Tickets cost £5 (£.50 concessions).

  • Be amazed and amused at Leeds City Varieties - Pete Firman, star of BBC One's The Magicians and stand-up comic, is bringing his Trickster show to  Leeds' City Varieties tonight, blending crowd-pleasing comedy with awe-inspiring magic.   • See haunting war drama at the Alhambra, Bradford - Regeneration, a dramatisation of the haunting World War One novel by Pat Barker, is being performed at the Alhambra this week, with a performance tonight at 7.30pm. The play explores the experience of British army officers being treated for shell shock at Craiglockhart War Hospital in Edinburgh.
