There was something strange in the Halifax neighbourhood today.

The huge Stay Puft marshmallow man from cult film Ghostbusters arrived at Dean Clough Mills to get ready for Hali-Con, taking place on Saturday at North Bridge Leisure Centre.

The sci-fi convention will welcome characters from film and TV, including Daleks, Stormtroopers, Kilingons, and special guests from the acting world.

Props from Dr Who, Ironman and Star Wars will be on display, as well as the iconic A-Team van and Lightning McQueen from Disney Pixar's Cars.
