Nominations stage

Nominations open at 10am on Friday 29 April and close at 5pm on Saturday 14 May 2016.

Nominations may be made via this online form only.

Nominations will be accepted from business owners, managers or employees who wish to nominate their employer so long as they meet the criteria.

The nominated business must have a venue located in a postcode within The Hudddersfield Examiner area. A list of postcodes are available on request.

Only one nomination per business will be counted.

Readers may nominate as many businesses as they like. If a reader does wish to nominate multiple businesses, an individual nomination form per nomination will need to be submitted.

All accepted nominations will appear online from 10am on Friday 27th May and will be subject to a public vote.

Businesses may be entered into a maximum of two categories.

Where a business has been nominated for more than two categories, they will be given the choice with which two categories they wish to progress to the voting round. Any other category changes will be made at the editor’s discretion.

Voting stage

Voting opens at 10am on Friday 27 May and closes at midnight on Thursday 9 June 2016.

The winner of each of the five categories will be the business which receives the greatest number of votes.

Only one vote per valid email address will be permitted. Any duplicate votes will be disregarded. However, readers may vote for one business in each category. If a vote is cast by an invalid email address then this vote will be made null and void.

Voting forms for each category will be printed in The Huddersfield Examiner from Friday 27 May. The deadline to receive print forms is Thursday 9 June by 5pm. Voting forms received after this date will not be counted. All valid print votes will be combined to online votes to determine the overall winner for each category.
