Michael Jackson, the Kite Runner and a lunchtime concert - here's three ways to beat the Monday blues

It's the start of a new week — and a new entertainment line-up.

If you're feeling the Monday blues, there's plenty going on across West Yorkshire to liven up your day — from a lunchtime concert to knock-out stand-up comedy.

Here's three things to do today:

1. Enjoy a lunchtime organ concert with Gordon Stewart : Join Gordon Stewart at Huddersfield Town Hall for an organ concert at 1pm. And today's a special one — to celebrate Andrew Carter's 75th birthday, Gordon has included three of his pieces in this programme: the Festal Fanfare, the Aria and the Three Variants. 2. See the Kite Runner in Leeds: The best-selling book and acclaimed film has been adapting for the stage, and West Yorkshire Playhouse's production promises to leave 'a lasting impression on anyone it touches'. Afghanistan is a divided country on the verge of war and childhood friends, Amir (Ben Turner - Casualty) and Hassan are about to be torn apart. It's a beautiful afternoon in Kabul and the skies are full of the excitement and joy of a kite flying tournament. 3. Celebrate the King of Pop at the Alhambra:  Global superstar Michael Jackson may have passed away in 2009 — but his legend lives on with Thriller Live! Seen by over 2.5 million people in over 26 countries, the hit show continues to moonwalk around the world, taking you on a visual, audio and electrifying journey through the magic of Michael's 45 year musical history.
