Thousands of people are currently waiting to see Vulcan XH558 in the skies overhead.

The Cold War bomber is taking to the skies above northern England on day one of her two-day farewell tour.

On Saturday she took off from Doncaster at 1pm and will be travelling back to her home airport in a circular route, landing back in South Yorkshire at 4.30pm.

In between she will fly over Durham, Newcastle, Dalkeith (just south of Edinburgh), Carlisle, near Liverpool, around Manchester and then back across the East Midlands, up through Sheffield before touching down.
