Most of us look forward to some time off work and festive fun with the family at Christmas.

What day of the week Christmas Day falls on affect your days off work thanks to Christmas Bank Holidays, giving you more time to scoff leftover turkey.

In 2016, Christmas Day falls on a Sunday and Boxing Day on a Monday .

Boxing Day, on December 26, is a UK Bank Holiday — and Tuesday December 27 is also a Bank Holiday this year to make up for the fact that Christmas Day falls on a Sunday.
